Sunday Snapshots – Suffering the Heat Gladly

The temperature was in the thirties (celsius) here in Southern Ontario for most of last week, but with the high humidity it felt like 43 degrees (109 degrees fahrenheit).

I most definitely do not suffer that kind of heat gladly, but one day I bravely set my own comfort aside and ventured into the garden to see how the daylilies were faring. I found that even though they weren’t, perhaps, looking their very best, they were impressively resilient to the high temperature and sun beating down on them and even by late afternoon were still holding their blooms high.
