Sunday Snapshots – Long Weekend

Monday is Victoria Day in Canada. This weekend is traditionally the start of the gardening season, now that all threat of frost has passed. It’s also the time when people fill their swimming pools and set up their outdoor furniture or head north to open their summer cottage for the season. And, of course, on Monday there will be fireworks.

This duck was having a swim when I looked out, but by the time I grabbed my camera, all I could catch was a quick shot through the window of him on the side of the pool.

New life is popping up everywhere

and the nurseries have lovely selections of annuals to choose from.

And of course, there are snapdragons. A garden just isn’t complete without snapdragons.

  1. Cute wildlife, beautiful baskets, and I love your snaps! They never do as well for me.
